Nicknamed the Queen of American Lakes, Lake George is a narrow lake
located in the foothills of the Adirondack Mountains. Spanning approximately
32 miles in length and 3 miles in width, the lake empties into
Lake Champlain to its north.

Although most of the lake's shoreline is unsettled due to federal and state
conservation efforts, there are various small communities around the lake.
The village of Lake George is among the most flourishing of these
communities, offering a substantial variety of attractions for both
day and evening entertainment.

Restaurants, cruise boats, taverns, night clubs, parasailing, boat rentals,
war reenactments, and shops are all some of the activities you will find
within just a few blocks in the village. There are also numerous choices for
lodging, from hotels and cabins to public and private campgrounds.

Whatever your interests may be, Lake George has something for you!
